Stoic Quotes has no accounts, no advertising, no advertising SDK and no cross-app tracking. Your journal, saved quotes, reading profile and preferences stay on your iPhone. Product analytics is optional, asked for plainly, and can be withdrawn and erased at any time without losing a single feature.
Stoic Quotes is operated by Abdulvagab Khizriev, an individual entrepreneur registered in Georgia, tax identification number 322781281, of 71B Vazha-Pshavela Avenue, Tbilisi, Georgia. We are the controller of the personal data described in this policy.

Journal entries and collections, saved and seen quotes, schedules, preferences and the wallpapers you generate are created and kept on your device. We cannot read them.
The app also builds a reading profile from the quotes you keep and let go, and uses it to order what it shows you next. That profiling happens entirely on your iPhone, produces no decision with legal or similarly significant effect, and is never transmitted to us or to anybody else.
Deleting the app deletes this data, unless your device or an Apple backup retains a copy.
If, and only if, you opt in, the app sends us a small set of product events: an event name and the time it happened, a random installation identifier, the app version, the app language, and limited context such as which screen raised the subscription page, which plan was selected, or which day of a practice was completed. Counts are grouped into ranges rather than sent exactly.
We use this only to understand how the app is used and what to improve. Our legal basis is your consent. You can decline, and you can withdraw consent later in Profile, Privacy and data. Withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of what was processed before it, and it costs you no feature of the app.
We never receive the text of your journal, the quotes you kept, the authors you read, anything you type into a search field, the contents of a notification, your name, email address, phone number, contacts, photos, precise or approximate location, an advertising identifier, or any identifier that follows you across other apps or websites. There is no account to create and nothing to sign in to.
Apple processes your purchase and your subscription under its own privacy policy. We never receive your payment card details, and Apple gives us only anonymous, aggregated sales reporting.
Our hosting provider operates the server that receives analytics events and stores them on our behalf and on our instructions only.
Nobody else receives your personal data. We do not sell it, we do not share it for advertising, and we use no third-party analytics, attribution or advertising service.
The analytics server is located in the Netherlands, in the European Union. We are established in Georgia and administer the server from there. Georgia is not covered by a European Commission adequacy decision, and we state this plainly so you can weigh it before you consent.
The server never stores the random installation identifier itself. It stores a one-way hash of it alongside the event, and deletes the events automatically 90 days after they arrive.
Your network provider and ours process an IP address in order to deliver the request, as any internet request requires. We do not record it in the analytics database.
Where the law gives them to you, you have the right of access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, objection and data portability, and the right to withdraw consent at any time.
One honest limitation: we hold no account and no name, only a pseudonymous hash, so from an email alone we usually cannot tell which rows are yours, and we will say so rather than guess. The reliable route is inside the app. Profile, Privacy and data, withdraw consent, and the app asks our server to erase everything linked to that installation and clears the identifier and any queued events from your device.
You can complain to a supervisory authority. In Georgia this is the Personal Data Protection Service, personaldata.ge. In the European Economic Area it is the authority of your country of residence, work or the place of the alleged infringement. In the United Kingdom it is the Information Commissioner's Office. We would rather you wrote to us first, and we will answer either way.
Everything the app sends travels over an encrypted connection. The server stores no raw identifier, accepts only a short list of permitted event names and property names, and refuses anything else. Access is limited to the controller named above. If a breach of your personal data occurs and the law requires it, we notify the competent authority and, where required, you.
The iOS app uses no cookies of any kind. Our website sets no analytics, advertising or profiling cookies, and needs no cookie banner for the way it presently operates. The operator dashboard, which only we can reach, sets one strictly necessary cookie to keep an administrator signed in. If any of that changes, this policy and any consent controls the law requires will be updated first.
Stoic Quotes is not directed to children and we do not knowingly collect their personal data. Where the law of your country sets an age below which a child cannot consent on their own, a parent or guardian must give any consent the law requires. If you believe a child has given us data, write to us and we will erase it.
