In these terms, we and us mean that person, and you means the person using the app. By using Stoic Quotes you accept these terms.
We grant you a personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive licence to use Stoic Quotes on Apple devices you own or control, under the rules of the App Store. Apple's Licensed Application End User Licence Agreement applies to the app, and these terms add to it. Where the two conflict, Apple's agreement governs the matters it covers.
You may not redistribute or resell the app, extract or republish its quote database as a dataset, or reverse-engineer it, except to the extent the law expressly permits despite this restriction.
This agreement is between you and us alone. Apple is not a party to it and is not responsible for the app or its contents. Apple has no obligation to provide any maintenance or support for the app; we do, at the address above.
If the app fails to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple will refund the purchase price of the app to you. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple has no other warranty obligation whatsoever with respect to the app. We, not Apple, are responsible for addressing any claim that the app or your possession and use of it infringes intellectual property rights or fails to comply with legal or regulatory requirements.
Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and, upon your acceptance, have the right to enforce them against you.
Stoic Pro is an auto-renewing subscription, offered monthly and yearly. The price of each plan, in your own currency, and the length of the period are shown on the purchase screen before you buy and on the App Store listing. Prices differ between countries and may change; the price displayed at the moment of purchase is the price that applies. At the time of writing the United States prices are 9.99 dollars a month and 49.99 dollars a year.
The yearly plan may include a free trial period. Where it does, the purchase screen states the length of the trial and the amount charged when it ends, before you commit. Eligibility for a trial is decided by Apple, per Apple Account, and an account that has already used one will not be offered another.
Payment is charged to your Apple Account at confirmation of purchase. The subscription renews automatically unless you turn off auto-renew at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the period ends, at the price then in force.
You can manage your subscription and turn off auto-renew at any time in Settings, your name, Subscriptions on your device. Cancelling stops the next renewal; the period you have already paid for runs to its end.
Apple sells the subscription and handles refunds. You can request one at reportaproblem.apple.com, and Apple decides under its own policies. Any right of withdrawal, refund or cancellation that the mandatory consumer law of your country gives you, including the statutory withdrawal right for consumers in the European Economic Area and the United Kingdom, remains unaffected by anything in these terms.
Stoic Pro includes all shelves, the full journal with its search, calendar, collections, pins and exports, personal practices, the weekly reflection, personal controls over what the deck brings you, and the full daily quote schedule. The purchase screen lists what is included at the time you subscribe.
We may add, change or retire individual features as the app develops, provided the paid service as a whole remains materially what you subscribed to. If we ever withdraw something substantial, we will say so before the next renewal.
Quotes appear as short excerpts, attributed to their author or to the work they come from, for the purpose of quotation, commentary and reflection. Attribution is not endorsement, and rights in a quoted line remain with whoever holds them. Our translations, the arrangement of the collection and the artwork of the app are protected separately and belong to us.
If you hold rights in a quotation or an image and believe it should be corrected or removed, write to vagab.one@outlook.com with the exact text, where it appears in the app, the basis of your right and what you would like done. We deal with such notices promptly, and we would rather correct an attribution than argue about it.
What you write in the journal, and any photograph you choose to use in the wallpaper or widget studios, remain yours. They stay on your device: we acquire no licence to them, and we cannot read them. The app uses them only to do what you asked it to do on your own device, such as building an export or composing an image.
You are responsible for anything you choose to share outside the app.
Stoic Quotes is a collection of quotations for reflection. Nothing in it is medical, psychological, legal or financial advice, it is not therapy, and it is not a crisis service. If you are struggling with your mental health, please speak to a qualified professional. If you are in danger or in crisis, contact your local emergency services.
Use the app lawfully. Do not attempt to disrupt the service, circumvent its subscription controls, or send our servers anything other than what the app itself sends.
By using the app you represent that you are not located in a country subject to a United States Government embargo or designated as a terrorist-supporting country, and that you are not listed on any United States Government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
The app is provided as it is. We do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any particular quotation is accurately attributed, though we correct what we are told is wrong.
To the extent the law permits, our total liability to you for any claim connected with the app is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose. Nothing in these terms limits or excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, for gross negligence or intent, or for anything else that applicable law does not allow to be limited, and nothing in them removes the statutory rights of a consumer.
These terms are governed by the law of Georgia. If you are a consumer, this choice does not deprive you of the protection of the mandatory rules of the country where you habitually reside, and you may bring proceedings in the courts of that country. If a term is held unenforceable, the rest continue in force.
We may update these terms for legal, security or product reasons. Material changes are identified by a new date and notified where the law requires it; continuing to use the app after that means you accept them. Questions, consumer complaints and rights-holder notices: vagab.one@outlook.com
